Study Options
AAC offers three study options: Part-time, Full-time and an Internship Program
Part-time Study Option
There is a major trend across western-countries towards part-time study. Colleges and universities are reporting that more two-thirds of their student body is opting to study part-time.
The question must be asked, “Why are so many students taking-up this option?” There are several reasons:
Work
Flexibility has been identified as a significant priority for working professionals around the world. Part-time study allows students the opportunity to study Bible and ministry subjects at a time that is convenient to their work schedule.
Money
Part-time study is often financially beneficial, as studying over a longer period of time allows students to spread the cost of their study.
Family
The option of studying part-time allows students to fulfill family responsibilities
Church Involvement
Part-time study allows students to remain actively involved in their local church and provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate a linkage between the information learned and practical application of that knowledge.
Class participation
Research would indicate that the involvement of part-time students in any course raises the bar for the entire class. Class discussions can centre on things that students may have experienced both in and outside the workplace.
Achievements value
Research undertaken by universities in the UK indicates that students who study part-time place the same value, if not higher value, on their academic achievement.
